Jacksonville Jaguars reunite with long-time OL via practice squad

The Jaguars reunited with longtime Jacksonville offensive lineman Tyler Shatley on Tuesday, adding him to their practice squad and, in a corresponding move, releasing offensive lineman Dieter Eiselen from the unit.

Now in his 11th NFL season, Shatley originally signed with Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson in 2014 and remained with the team through that preseason.

Shatley re-signed with Jacksonville in April on a one-year contract but stayed put during the Jaguars' preseason roster cuts in August. He He announced earlier this month that he plans to retire from the NFL after this season.

Shatley made 145 regular-season appearances for the Jaguars through 2023, the fifth-most in franchise history, including a team-record 140 consecutive games played and 51 starts on offense.

He has logged at least one snap at every offensive line position except right tackle at Jacksonville.

Shatley started at least eight games each year between the 2020-22 season. He also made five postseason appearances and two playoff starts for the Jaguars.
