The New York Jets have decided to trade Mike Williams at the 2024 NFL trade deadline.
The Jets (3-6) traded Williams to the Pittsburgh Steelers. That deal netted New York a fifth-round draft pick in next year's draft.
Head coach Jeff Ulbrich didn't say much about the reasons for the deal. He said that both the team and the player probably played a role in why it didn't work out in New York, but that was it.
“For many different reasons,” Ulbrich said.
On the other hand, general manager Joe Douglas was more direct. Williams, who suffered an ACL injury in 2023, moved him back to the eight-ball and taking over for receiver Davante Adams.
