Announcers set for Week 13 game

The (7-5) sets off and heads south to fight the (2-9) in Week 13, which could have the division's hopes on the line.

The Texans may be suffering the worst loss of the DeMeco Ryan era after the Tennessee Titans marched into NRG Stadium to claim one . Will Levis' breakthrough performance helped Tennessee end a two-game losing streak and hand Houston its first division loss of 2024.

Sunday's AFC South will be broadcast locally and in certain parts of the country on FOX. Kevin Kugler (play-by-play) and Daryl Johnston (analyst) will work the broadcast booth. Laura Okmin (sideline reporter) will also conduct pre-game interviews, half-time updates and post-game interviews.

According to BetMGM, the Texans were a 5.5-point away favorite against the Jaguars in Week 13. The over/under is 43.

Jacksonville should be rested after the Week 12 bye begins. The bigger question concerns the status of Trevor Lawerence. The former No. 1 overall pick has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, which led to former Patriots starter Mac Jones taking over the QB1 position.

Through two games, Jones has completed 61.7% of his pass attempts for 277 yards and three interceptions.

The Texans need to find a stable option at the nickel position if they want to remain an elite defense without Jalen Ptire. The multi-purpose defender is expected to be out for several weeks after suffering a torn pectoral muscle in Sunday's home loss.

“He was a real impact player for us,” Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said. “Just be on the ball. He just caused interceptions, forced fumbles, he was just a very active, very instinctive player for us, he was all over the field. And he made a lot of plays for us. And he just lacks his instincts, his playing skills, we will miss that.”

Kickoff at EverBank Stadium is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. CT.
