The Tennessee Titans pulled off a surprising win over the Houston Texans in Week 12 and now have their sights set on the Washington Commanders.
Of course, this gives us here at Titans Wire the opportunity to hypothetically steal from the Commander roster in search of depth and/or talent upgrades. Despite having a solid core, the Titans could use an influx of talent at all levels, and the Commanders offer a variety of players that could improve the roster.
In this case, I will bypass the offensive line. Between injuries on the interior and a gaping hole at right tackle, almost any offensive lineman would provide serious competition for the Titans roster.
quarterback Jayden Daniels is an interesting option. The rookie phenom looked like a veteran for most of the season and proved to be NFL-ready from the start. However, with offensive line issues and quarterback Will Levis in the process of turning things around, there are options that could pay dividends in other areas.
Linebacker Bobby Wagner, tight end Zach Ertz and defensive tackle Daron Payne are also potential targets, but one player eclipses them all: wide receiver Terry McLaurin.
Yes, the combination of Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has been productive and appears to be developing chemistry with Levis, but McLaurin makes the difference. Since entering the league as a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, he has developed into one of the most complete wide receivers in the nfl and just makes plays.
With the Titans, he would give Will Levis a dynamic target who can excel in any role on offense, allowing the team to attack teams both vertically and horizontally. Combined with a dynamic running game behind Tony Pollard, the offense would show much more potential.
What do you think, Titans fans? Would you pick Terry McLaurin or steal a completely different player from the Washington Commanders?
