Examining 2 Dan Quinn decisions in Cowboys loss

Three weeks ago the Commanders were 7-2.

Practicing must have been more fun; It was more fun to watch the film and see the successful victories.

That was then and now is now.

Three weeks later, the Commanders have lost three games in a row, for a record of 7-5. The film should not be enjoyable. Recognizing missed opportunities and practicing is all about correcting what is now on the next opponent's film.

Dan Quinn was asked Wednesday if his weekly schedule changes due to recent difficulties.

“For myself, there’s always a bigger picture of things, what’s a trend and where do you want to go,” Quinn said. “I will express this to the employees and the team. But you delve into the team and then emphasize the things you want to work on this time.”

After losing three straight games, the coaching staff could have a variety of things that need a lot of work. However, not every single one of these concepts can be addressed within one practice.

“So you don't pick 15 different things to do in a week of practice. “This is something you want to improve. Let’s put in the work.” So after three defeats it’s a challenge. It is the biggest challenge we have experienced so far. It's confusing, frustrating, all of those things. That’s also part of competing and knowing how to deal with those emotions and get into the things you need to get into, and that’s what we want to do.”
