- AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita on January 3, competing for promotion in Japan for the first time since July. He is also scheduled for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4th and Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th.
- The Butcher (Andy Williams) about his AEW debut and writes that he loves everything the promotion allows him:

- No, not at all. My God, I'm grateful I didn't have to wear that too. You know, I was carrying around a 50, 60, 75 pound snake, and we were on the road for two, three weeks at a time, all your clothes, everything you have to wear, the last thing I want is a 10 – Pound belt to take with you. Would I have liked a championship? Yes, of course. You know, that would have been something, but I had had several championships by then. Maybe not [the] WWF Championship, but I've had several – Calgary, I've had it in Louisiana and the Mid-South. I had it in Texas. I've had it in various locations in the mid-Atlantic. - My show 83 Weeks is a nostalgia show, so I always delve into the history of the Monday Night War with WWE and WCW and all the things that happened during that time. I live in this time.
