Mandla Mashimbyi has been appointed head coach of the South African women's team ahead of the one-day international series against England.
Mashimbyi, who previously served as bowling and assistant coach with the men's national team, replaces Dillon du Preez, who has been in interim charge since the departure of Hilton Moreeng in May after more than 11 years in the position.
The former Titans fast bowler's first game in charge will be the first ODI against England in Kimberley on December 4, followed by games in Durban and Potchefstroom.
Mashimbyi has several years of coaching experience, including winning multiple championships with the Titans, and was recently the fast bowling coach for the Paarl Royals in the SA20 Franchise League.
