The NBA Cup is back for a second year and the schedule continues Tuesday night with a busy 11-game schedule as the tournament's group stage concludes. The big matches will be the Milwaukee Bucks against the Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks against the Orlando Magic. The winner remains undefeated in group play and thus advances to the knockout round.
All 30 teams participate in the NBA Cup format and are divided into six groups of five teams each for round-robin group play. These games took place on Tuesdays and Fridays between November 12th and December 3rd and are unique NBA Cup seats. There are three groups of Eastern Conference teams and three groups of Western Conference teams.
The winners of each group (based on round-robin record and points difference if a tiebreaker is required) plus a wildcard from each conference (best record of the non-group winner) advance to the knockout phase, where the Tournament takes place single elimination through semifinals and finals in Las Vegas.
Even skeptics of the NBA's inaugural event (called the NBA In-Season Tournament in 2023) had to be impressed by the quality of product the players and teams gave us last year. Everyone seemed really committed and gave their best to win the title and the $500,000 prize per player. The Lakers took the crown. Tyrese Haliburton broke out as a superstar for the Pacers.
Below is the schedule for the entire 2024 NBA Cup. Group play runs through December 3rd. The knockout round begins on December 10th and ends with the title game on December 17th in Las Vegas.

The lineup will be determined after the games on December 3rd. Eight teams reach the knockout rounds: four East and four West teams.
