What you should know
The Hornets will play in front of their home fans on Saturday, but a look at the spread shows they may need that home advantage. They and the Atlanta Hawks will face off at 6:00 pm ET at the Spectrum Center without much of a break after finishing games yesterday. The Hornets haven't scored more than 98 points in three straight games, a trend the team is desperate to reverse.

Meanwhile, the Hawks didn't have too much trouble against the Cavaliers on Friday, winning 117-101. The contest marked Atlanta's most dominant win of the season to date.
Charlotte's loss dropped their record to 6-13. The victory marked Atlanta's second consecutive victory and increased its season record to 9-11.
While only the Hawks cared about their fans in their last game, both teams delighted bettors by covering the spread. Going forward, the Hawks are the favorites as the experts expect them to win by four points. This contest will be Charlotte's 13th straight time as an underdog (so far they are 9-3 against the field over that stretch).
The Hornets fell to the Hawks in their last game in October, losing 125-120. A major factor in this loss was the dominant performance of the Hawks' Trae Young, who posted a double-double with 38 points and 10 assists.
