FOX had to be happy with the ratings, but that's not surprising since the nfl has been rated gold for several decades.
The game, which usually carries some significance in the standings, was only the second meeting between the Cowboys and Giants this late in the season, with both teams having losing records since 2004.
The Giants were on a six-game losing streak and were starting their third quarterback in as many games (Drew Lock). Dallas had just broken a five-game losing streak against Washington the week before. They also started a backup quarterback, Cooper Rush.
Dallas won 27-20, increasing their record to 5-7 and giving them a glimmer of hope for the postseason.
The Giants fell to 2-10 and are currently held first overall in the 2025 nfl draft.
