Lamar Jackson signed to Atlanta’s practice squad

The have filled their final vacancy on the practice squad, signing cornerback Lamar Jackson on Monday. The 26-year-old entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and played 23 games for four NFL teams, including the Denver Broncos.

Jackson started six games for the New York Jets in 2020, but his playing time has decreased each year since. Former Nebraska defensive back Jackson has recorded 31 tackles (29 solo) and four passes defensed in his four seasons in the league.

He last played for the Carolina Panthers in 2023 and appeared in just one game.

The Falcons are coming off a three-point loss to the New Orleans Saints and will look to get back on track in Week 11 against Jackson's old team. Atlanta will travel to Denver to take on the Broncos this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET.

Denver nearly defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10, but a field goal was blocked as time expired. The Falcons have struggled with some special teams issues of their own. The team missed three in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
