PWInsider reports that contract negotiations are nearing completion, with a long-term agreement ensuring the powerhouse remains with the company as it turns the corner, moving to Netflix on Mondays and heading to WrestleMania. This is a big expansion for WWE, especially given the trust Triple H has placed in Gunther to bring an element of old-fashioned heelism and technical wrestling to the show.
Günther first gained notoriety in 2019 and immediately made an impression. He began his run in NXT UK and became their top dresser. He was said to have no desire to leave Europe, but his relationship status changed and he became more open to the idea of working in North America, starting in NXT and then working his way up to the main roster.
