Bengals injury updates on Tee Higgins, Orlando Brown not encouraging

It's still early, but it sounds like it Cincinnati Bengals could be without two key names again, this time for the Week 11 showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers.

wide receiver Tee Higgins is in danger of missing his fourth straight game after suffering a quadriceps injury in practice, while offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. is still dealing with an injury of his own.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor advised caution when asked about the fact that both guys participated in a walkthrough earlier in the week.

“Participating in the walkthrough is pretty easy, so I wouldn't read too much into it. “We’ll see where it stands by Wednesday,” Taylor said, according to the report from Bengals.com. “Everything was positive.”

In other words, both guys are staying day-to-day at best.

With Higgins, the agonizing soft tissue injuries are also tricky. Another soft tissue setback also cost him games early in the season. The Bengals didn't place him on injured reserve, which meant he had to miss four games, but he could still do so with a bye looming in Week 12.

As for Brown, he seemed to be close before last Thursday's loss, but ultimately the team didn't get it done. Earlier this week, he was also unwilling to be particularly positive about his prospects.

“I'll see how the week goes, I missed the last two so I'm not 100 percent sure yet,” Brown said of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

All eyes are on the injury reports as of Wednesday, but Higgins and Brown still sound like question marks at best.
