Tennessee Titans release safety Mike Edwards

The Tennessee Titans made another roster move on Wednesday, saying goodbye to a player they signed a week ago: safety Mike Edwards.

Edwards was signed by the Buffalo Bills following his release to potentially add some depth to the secondary after the loss of safety Quandre Diggs. He was inactive against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 10 and will now look for a new team.

Before signing with the Titans, the six-year veteran played three games for the Bills in 2024, playing just 20 snaps on defense and special teams and recording one tackle.

Edwards was originally a third-round draft pick of the Tampa Buccaneers in 2019 and has played in 78 games, including 28 starts, with the Bucs, Kansas City Chiefs, Bills and Titans.

The Titans will be back at the facility on Thursday as they continue to prepare for their Week 11 clash against the Minnesota Vikings at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
