BUFFALO, NY – Sabers coach Lindy Ruff has ruled out leading scorer Tage Thompson and starting goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen from attending Buffalo's home game against the St. Louis Blues.

Both remain on the roster and are eligible to return when the Sabers play the Philadelphia Flyers.

Thompson, who had just one NHL-leading 11 goals, suffered a lower-body injury in the 5-7 loss to Montreal. Luukkonen is dealing with what Ruff called a minor illness.

Devon Levi is expected to start against the Blues, with James Reimer serving as the backup, a day after he was claimed off waivers following his release by Anaheim.
