Amid reports of shifting the entire 2025 Champions Trophy to South Africa, the new promo released by ICC has once again highlighted Pakistan as the official hosts of the premier tournament.
Known for its intense competition and involving only top teams, this competition has secured a unique place in cricket history.
The ICC (International cricket Council) has released a vivid advertisement for the Champions Trophy 2025 that promises exciting matches full of entertainment. With the Men's Champions Trophy scheduled to take place in February and March next year, the promo also confirmed the Women's CT to be played in T20 format in Sri Lanka in 2027.

From February 19thTh As per the proposed schedule, the tournament is sure to be highly competitive as teams like India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh are in Group A while Australia, England, South Africa and Afghanistan are in Group B.
Matches between India and Pakistan are traditionally one of the most exciting matches in cricket and the upcoming showdown will take place on March 1 in Lahore as per the mega event's scheduled calendar.

However, ICC has not yet announced the official schedule of the marquee tournament as India is not ready to visit Pakistan and PCB's stand is to host the entire tournament.
Champions Trophy 2025 host confirmed
Defending champions Pakistan, who were given the chance to host the tournament, remain adamant about their stance on hosting the event despite India reportedly not being willing to travel to Pakistan due to security concerns during the multi-team tournament.

According to multiple reports, the BCCI has written a letter to the ICC informing the governing body of its decision not to travel to Pakistan due to security reasons but is ready to play the tournament in a hybrid model.
The ICC reportedly informed the PCB (Pakistan cricket Board) via email that India would not travel to Pakistan. The Pakistan cricket Board then asked the ICC to clarify India's refusal.
