Tereza Mihalikova and Viktoria Hruncakova teamed up to defeat Townsend and Ashlyn Krueger 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 set up the quarter-final game for Australia, who received a bye in the first round.

The opening match of the tournament between Spain and Poland was postponed on Wednesday due to a severe weather warning.
It has been moved to Friday, with the game starting at 09:00 GMT before Great Britain face Germany from 4:00 p.m.
