Welcome back, Connor McGovern (once again).
Before the game against the Indianapolis Colts (4-6), the New York Jets (3-7) brought McGovern back to the team earlier this week. It is the second time this season that McGovern has appeared in green and white again.
McGovern returns to New York as he was claimed from the waiver wire about the New Orleans Saints this week. Previously, McGovern may not have retired this offseason. The 31 year old but was inked by the Saints in October.
McGovern first played in New York as the team's starting player from 2020 through last season. A MCL and knee injury ended his 2023 season after playing seven games and it appeared McGovern was ending her career.
For the Jets, McGovern will provide reinforcement on the interior of the offensive line. New York guards Xavier Newman and Jake Hanson were beaten up. Starters John Simpson and Alijah Vera-Tucker have fortunately returned to the lineup in recent weeks.
will continue to provide roster updates throughout the 2024 season.
