Before a ball was hit on the Costa del Sol, Keothavong was unafraid to speak up about her team's chances of improving the odds and lifting the trophy on Wednesday.
While Keothavong's team reached the semi-finals on home soil in Glasgow in 2022, there is a different belief given Britain's batting power.
Raducanu and Boulter will be favorites to win their singles matches in the semi-finals, but Slovakia are not to be underestimated after reaching the last four for the first time since they were crowned in 2002.
The United States, while deprived of its star players Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, were its first victims before Australia was pushed aside on Sunday.
Viktoria Hruncakova, ranked 241st in the world, beat Kimberly Birrell 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 before 43rd-ranked Rebecca Sramkova beat Ajla Tomljanovic 6-1, 6-2.
If Great Britain beat Slovakia, their final opponents will be Poland or Italy – proof of why most people considered them favorites before the tournament.
There, Great Britain will face players with greater reputation.
Poland has the tournament's biggest threat in five-time major winner Iga Swiatek, while Italy is led by world number four Jasmine Paolini, both of whom also secured victory in doubles.
“I definitely wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe we could win the tournament,” Boulter said.
“We always had a great chance. We will continue to believe in it, continue to trust in it and continue to enjoy it.”
“I don’t think there’s any pressure. We’re just having fun.”
