The Lions' defense was an impenetrable force, repelling everything the Jaguars threw at them. The run defense dominated as always, holding the Jags to just 41 rushing yards, led by the stalwart duo of DJ Reader and Alim McNeill. Through the air, the secondary was equally stifling, limiting Jacksonville to 138 yards. Kerby Joseph added another interception to his league-leading total, which now stands at seven.
Za'Darius Smith recorded his first sack as a Lion, while Terrion Arnold's sticky coverage overwhelmed receivers all game. Jack Campbell and Malcolm Rodriguez were relentless, flying to the ball and stuffing plays, and Brian Branch continued to set the tone with his punishing hits. From top to bottom, this was an exercise in Lions defense – absolutely outstanding in every way.
