If Bryce Young starts the rest of the year, wins just one more game, but makes progress in pocket awareness and game management, do you think that's enough to earn another year as a starter? Or if we have a top-three pick, do we take a quarterback? – @CPanther591
I'm sure Canales will continue to make the quarterback situation a torment week to week like he has done for most of the season, but I digress. Even if they only won one more game, Young's growing pocket awareness, confidence and overall game management would give me confidence in his prospects to start in Carolina in 2025.
It's a tougher question whether Carolina has a top-three pick. I don't see a draft candidate worthy of such a high pick – potentially putting general manager Dan Morgan and Canales in a situation where they might still sign a bridge quarterback or a competitive replacement to ensure Young doesn't Completely in the starting line-up is work.
What I'm saying is that if Young continues to progress, it will likely lead to more wins. He's made some key shots in the last two games that helped put the Panthers in a position to win, even if the score doesn't show it.
A better youngster will likely mean good results for the franchise down the stretch.
