Sean Payton takes blame for blocked field goal

Denver Broncos Second-year cornerback Riley Moss left Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders with a knee injury in the second quarter and was later ruled out in the third quarter. We will follow Moss injury updates on this page in the coming days.

Riley Moss injury update

After the game, Broncos coach Sean Payton stated that the injury did not appear to be a serious injury. “Luckily Riley wasn’t really serious,” Payton said afterward a 29:19 win. “It’s an MCL. I won't give anything. We'll see how it goes next week. There was some thought that he might go back in. We’ll see where it goes.” This is certainly a positive update.

How long will Riley Moss be out?

The fact that the team is considering bringing Moss back into the game on Sunday seems to be a very good sign, but it remains to be seen whether he will be available for a game against the Cleveland Browns Monday Night Football in Week 13. We will learn more about Moss' status when the team returns to practice later this week and begins releasing injury updates.

Levi Wallace filled in for Moss against the Raiders and would likely start if Moss had to miss any games. Wallace and Pat Surtain played as the team's outside linebackers while Ja'Quan McMillian played at the position. Denver also has Damarri Mathis, Tremon Smith and Kris Abrams-Draine at cornerback.

The 24-year-old Moss has eight pass breakups and one interception this season.
