Carl Froch believes that the match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson is planned so that Paul comes out victorious.
Froch has been critical of Paul for years and didn't hold back ahead of the YouTuber and former boxer's clash with Tyson on Friday, which will be broadcast by streaming giant Netflix.
“Iron Mike,” who turns 59 in June, is ending a nearly 20-year hiatus to face the 27-year-old AT&T Stadium in ArlingtonTexas.
The two meet in a pro-sanctioned fight over eight two-minute rounds, but “The Cobra” believes the fight will be in Paul's favor.
“I think it's a scripted fight and will last three or four rounds,” he told GB News via Casino.org.
“Jake Paul will definitely win; Tyson might start well, but then he falls over.
“Paul can’t lose. It's in the contract that he can't lose.
“He’s a useless bastard.”
The American rivals were scheduled to fight on July 20, but the bout was postponed after Tyson suffered a stroke Flare up of an ulcer.
Tyson, a former undisputed heavyweight champion, has been questioned about facing someone of Paul's caliber, but Froch doesn't believe the result will have any impact on his legacy.
“I don’t think so, no,” he added when asked if defeat would have an impact on his legacy.
“I think it's unlikely that he would pick up the microphone and start bragging after beating up an old man.
“If so, then he really does have more deluded energy than I thought.
“Mike Tyson is an iconic name for what he achieved in this sport when he was physically fit and capable, but not at the age of 58.”
Tyson cut a calm figure at Wednesday's final press conference, insisting he was just ready to fight as a professional for the first time since his loss to Kevin McBride in 2005.
Paul even had to take care of a lot of the publicity in the press conference Confrontation with those on the bottom map who chose the Brooklyn legend to beat him.
The pair will face each other for the final time at Thursday's weigh-in at 6 p.m. CT.
