Eddie Hearn has listed four names as possible big money fights for Callum Smith in 2025 ahead of his return to the ring next weekend.
Smith hasn't boxed since a Loss in the seventh round against Artur Beterbiev in their unified light heavyweight world title fight in January and many – including Hearn – had doubts about whether the Liverpudlian would fight again or not.
However, it was announced this week that “Mundo” will return in an eight-round tournament on the undercard of Sunny Edwards vs Gal Yafai on November 30th, with an opponent yet to be announced.
And Hearn has stated that the former super middleweight world champion will rush straight into a big fight in 2025 once the cobwebs are cleared away next week.
Speaking of Matchroom Boxing YouTube channelSmith's long-time promoter, had domestic disputes against Joshua Buatsi, Anthony Yarde and Lyndon Arthur as well as a clash with Dmitry Bivol.
“He’ll come back in an eight-round fight, clear the cobwebs from the Beterbiev fight and then he’ll be right there!
“Joshua Buatsi, Anthony Yarde, Lyndon Arthur, even Dmitry Bivol.
“Any of those big options at 175 pounds.
“Just a little run out that will happen next week, and after that – anyone you want.
“I'm thrilled. Sometimes it feels like a new addition to the stable.
“We’ve been with Callum since his professional debut so I’m looking forward to the run-out in Birmingham and then he’ll put up a big fight in 2025.”

Smith looked to be a destructive force at light heavyweight before falling short against Beterbiev, having picked up stoppage wins over Lenin Castillo and Mathieu Bauderlique in his two previous fights.
His only other defeat came against the pound-for-pound star Canelo Alvarez in 2020and the 34-year-old will no doubt still feel he has enough energy to pull off a big win next year.
