Eddie Hearn has stated that he would like to pit some of his fighters against Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy stable in a 5v5 tournament.
Ever since Hearn and Frank Warren pitted five of their fighters against each other in Riyadh earlier this year, there have been calls for him and his long-time nemesis De La Hoya to do the same.
And although the pair haven't had too many cross-promotional duels in the past, the Golden Boy CEO claimed that he would “love” to face the Brentwood tycoon, before telling him about the results of some of his fighters recently raised.
“I mean, I wish – I would love it! And have him, huh? He’s now 0 and 17, or 0 in 24, 25,” De La Hoya said on one DAZN feature.
“Yes why not?”
Hearn took to
- Jaron Ennis vs. Ryan Garcia
- Shakur Stevenson vs. William Zepeda
- Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Israil Madrimov
- Gilberto Ramirez vs. Jai Opetaia
- Jack Catterall vs. Jose Ramirez
Boots vs. Ryan, Shakur vs. Zepeda, Ortiz vs. Madrimov, Zurdo vs. Opetaia, Catterall vs. Ramirez = easy work!

In the first edition of the 5v5 concept in June, Hearn suffered one Punches by Warrenwith every single one of his fighters losing that night.
His misery became even worse just a few months later when his prized heavyweight, Anthony Joshua, was defeated suffered a brutal defeat to long-time Warren attacker Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium.
Hearn and De La Hoya have exchanged ideas on social media and in interviews for years, and building a 5-on-5 relationship is unlikely to be as cordial as Warren's earlier this year.
The Brit has become a regular target of the Californian's weekly social media segment “Clap Back Thursdays,” to which he has responded with repeated questions about De La Hoya's mental state.
