Tyson Fury shocked the boxing world today after announcing his retirement from the sport at the age of 36.
Despite two defeats in a row Oleksandr Usyk Last year it was expected that Fury would continue his career and take on domestic rival Anthony Joshua in a blockbuster affair.
However, these hopes were broke this afternoon after “The Gypsy King” claimed on Instagram that his time in the ring – which he described as “a blast” – was over.
The Morecambe man ended the video with a cryptic message that appeared to reinforce his previous displeasure at the two defeats to Usyk.
“Hi everyone, I’ll keep it short and sweet. I would like to announce my retirement from boxing. It was a great time. I enjoyed every single minute of it.
“I’ll end with this: Dick Turpin wore a mask.
“God bless everyone, see you on the other side.”
This isn't the first time 'The Gypsy King' has announced he's hanging up the gloves – he claimed he retired after his victory over Dillian Whyte in 2022, only to return a few months later .
So it's safe to say that this time around, not everyone is convinced that they've really made it.
He will come back in a few months once he is offered 250 million to fight Anthony Joshua.

It seems that the majority of observers have doubts about whether Fury is really done with the sport.
However, there was no shortage of people who believed him and congratulated him on his successful and eventful career.
And if you come with BBC 5LiveThe two-time heavyweight champion's promoter Frank Warren seemed to have no doubts about his protégé's authenticity.
God bless him, that's what he wants to do and that's great. He did everything that could be done and was easily the best British heavyweight of his generation.
He has a lot of money, he's smart and he has a great family.
