Turki Alalshikh's latest Riyadh season card, headlined by the rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol on February 22, is being hailed as one of the best cards of all time.
Alalshikh, the head of boxing in Saudi Arabia, finally confirmed on Monday evening what had been widely reported for several weeks, that Beterbiev and Bivol would take the fight after another exchange of blows exciting first fight in Octoberfrom which Beterbiev emerged victorious by majority decision and became the undisputed light heavyweight world champion.
With all four belts on the line once again, Bivol looks to avenge his only professional loss.
Besides the rematch six more fights announced, including three world title fights.
Daniel Dubois, who suffered a tough fifth-round defeat to Anthony Joshua, will defend his IBF world heavyweight title for the second time against former world champion Joseph Parker.
Shakur Stevenson puts his WBC lightweight title on the line against rising prospect Floyd Schofield, while Hamzah Sheeraz fights for his first world title when he meets WBC middleweight titlist Carlos Adames.
An all-British light heavyweight bout between Joshua Buatsi and Callum Smith, a heavyweight showdown between Zhilei Zhang and Agit Kabayel and a super welterweight bout with Vergil Ortiz Jr and Israil Madrimov round out the blockbuster offering, with all three bouts being for interim titles become .
The broadcasters for the event have not yet been confirmed, but Alalshikh says he will reduce the pay-per-view price in the US to “no more than $25.99” as part of his plan, particularly in The event will cost £19.99 in the UK.
