IND vs SA: is currently in South Africa for a four-match T20I series. Suryakumar Yadav's men won the first T20I but lost the second T20I. The series is tied 1-1 with two games remaining. Former South Africa batsman Herschelle Gibbs has predicted a 3-1 win for South Africa in the series. He expects there will be a lot of points in the series but India does not have an experienced team to win the series in South Africa.

“Anything can happen. I think this kind of wickets will suit the Indians better. Then comes Johannesburg and the Wanderers at Super Sport Park, I'm expecting some top-class games. Anything can happen in these games. After the first two games, the Proteas have a full team. India has a team that is not that experienced. I expect at least a 3-1 series win with the Proteas.” Gibbs told SportsBoom.

Herschelle Gibbs expects India to fight

However, Gibbs said India still does not have a lot of young talent and experience in T20 cricket who can come out on top in pressure moments. He believes there will be a lot of intense battles in the last two games and expects India to fight until the end.

The second T20I match in the ongoing series between South Africa and India, held on November 10, 2024, was an exciting contest at St. George's Park in Gqeberha. South Africa claimed a three-wicket victory over India and leveled the series 1-1. This win ended India's 11-match winning streak in T20Is and highlighted the competitive nature of the series.

India batted first but got off to a rocky start with early dismissals including Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma and captain Suryakumar Yadav. The innings was somewhat stabilized by Axar Patel's quick 27 balls, but it was Hardik Pandya's tough 39 off 45 balls that provided some momentum and helped India reach a total of 124/6. Despite a challenging start to their batting innings, South Africa came under pressure, particularly from Varun Chakravarthy, who scored a remarkable 5/17 in his game, leading to a collapse in the middle order.
