November ICC Player of the Month nominations:
Jasprit Bumrah (IND)
India's top-order returned to the top of the ICC men's Test bowling rankings in November and is aiming to win his second ICC Men's Player of the Month award after starring in the visitors' first Test win over Australia . Replacing the absent Rohit Sharma, stand-in captain Bumrah provided electrifying spells with the ball, scoring five for 30 in a memorable first innings and three for 42 in the second, ensuring India kept their hopes of a place in next year's finals alive the ICC World Test Championship.
Marco Jansen (SA)
The 24-year-old all-rounder could become the first South African to win the award since Keshav Maharaj in April 2022, thanks to successes in the Proteas' long and short format tours in November. While Jansen enjoyed modest success with the ball in the T20I series against India, his highlight was the narrow defeat against Centurion where he smashed 54 off 17 balls. Better results were to be expected on Jansen's return to the Test arena, where he blitzed a Sri Lanka touring line-up, taking 11 wickets in the game and seven for 13 in the first innings – his best figures in the longest format in just 41 deliveries to bring momentum the final of the South African World Test Championship.
Haris Rauf (PAK)
With no fewer than six ODIs and three T20Is in November, it was an action-packed month that saw Pakistan quickly return to their fearsome best on the international stage. Five wickets at an impressive average of 15.40 marked his return in the shortest format, but among his 13 ODI wickets at 16.61, he played a headline player of the series role in Pakistan's first ODI series win in Australia since 2002, scoring ten Wickets that included dismantling the middle order in his five for 29 in Adelaide.
Nominations for ICC Player of the Month for November:
Sharmin Akhter (BAN)
The Bangladeshi batsman is celebrating her first nomination as ICC Player of the Month and a win would see her emulate her compatriot Nahida Akter, who would be the only other Bangladeshi to win the award since its inception. The 28-year-old had a great start to the ODI series against Ireland, producing two outstanding performances over the course of the calendar month. Sharmin scored a career-high 96 in a dominant man-of-the-match performance in the first encounter where the home team registered a convincing 154-run win. She picked up where she left off in the second game and scored 43 to set up a five-wicket win in Mirpur.
Nadine de Klerk (SA)
Despite a humiliating 3-0 series defeat to England on home soil, de Klerk was in fine form during the November competition, topping her team's list of run-scorers and wicket-takers. With 80 runs and four wickets to her credit over the course of the calendar month, the all-rounder withstood England's attack, particularly in the first and second matches where she recorded 29 not outs and two for 20 and 32 not outs and two for 36 respectively.
Danni Wyatt-Hodge (Eng)
Wyatt-Hodge, a veteran of the England squad with more than 280 caps to her name, is another to celebrate her first nomination for the ICC Women's Player of the Month award after a brilliant month at the wicket during England's T20I successes in South Africa. A quiet start in East London was preceded by an explosive 78 in 45 balls en route to a stunning 36-run win in Benoni. If that wasn't enough, the 33-year-old ended the series in style, scoring another eye-catching half-century to seal the series victory with a nine-wicket victory at Centurion.
