NEW DELHI: Australian opener Nathan McSweeney has promised to “show everyone what I can do” when the second Test match against India begins on Friday Adelaidea place he knows.
When the 25-year-old made his debut for his country in the opening Test of the five-match series in Perth last month, he was the center of attention.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was Australia's main tormentor while McSweeney, who had opened only once at first-class level, scored 10 and nothing as a rampaging India won by 295 runs.
“I caught two pretty good balls over there in Perth so I'm trying not to get too caught up in that and I'm looking forward to Adelaide,” McSweeney said cricket Australia's media arm.
“I played well out here and it’s my home stadium,” he said of that Adelaide Ovalwhere the second day-night test will take place.

“So I’m looking forward to playing in front of the home crowd and especially on a wicket that I’ve played a lot of cricket on and that I know really well.”
After an outstanding start to the domestic season, McSweeney was selected to open at batsman Usman Khawaja in Perth.
According to cricket Australia, his average is just over 43 in first-class matches at the Adelaide Oval, where he scored two of his six wickets Sheffield shield Hundreds.
However, he admits that the “pink ball is a bit new for me”.
“But we will train here under lights a few times this week.
“So we still have some preparation to do and I feel like I missed the last game, but my game is still in good shape.”
He added: “If I can make sure I get my preparation done and then spend some time in the middle, I can take great confidence from that.”
“The beauty of this series is that you don’t have to wait too long for another opportunity. So definitely take some learnings from Perth and hopefully implement what I want to do here in Adelaide.”
“It’s another opportunity for me to go out there and show everyone what I can do.”
