However, former Indian dough Aakash Chopra has expressed his support for the all-rounder Axar Patel To become the captain of the DC in the IPL.
Chopra compared Delhi Capitals' captaincy dilemma to that of Kolkata Knight Riders, who sacked their title-winning captain Shreyas Iyer before the auction.
He believes Axar commanded great respect in the locker room and was one of the franchise's most underrated players.
“Who will be the captain? Your situation is like KKR. It could be Axar Patel. I don't mind him being the captain. If you give me the option, I would say make Axar captain.
