Mohammad Amaana middle-order batsman from Uttar Pradesh, will captain the India U19 team in the coming season ACC U19 Asian Championship. The 50-over tournament will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) later this month.
The Indian team has a talented squad of young players who have made their mark in the domestic league. These include Ayush Mhatre in Mumbai and Bihar Vaibhav SooryavanshiTamil Nadu's C Andre Siddarth, Kerala leg-spinner Mohammed Enaan and Karnataka batsmen Hardik Raj and Samarth Nagaraj.
India was placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Japan and the host country UAE. Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal.
India will play a pre-tournament warm-up match against Bangladesh on November 26 in Sharjah.
The semi-finals are scheduled for December 6th and the final for December 8th.
