NEW DELHI: After a rollercoaster start to his Test career Nathan McSweeney is happy to be back in the Australian side for the upcoming Test series in Sri Lanka, where he hopes to get back into the swing of things after a disappointing performance against India.
The youngster, who was dropped from the side after the first three Tests against India, was recalled for the Lanka series on Thursday.

McSweeney's international debut came in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, but the 25-year-old managed just 39 runs in three Tests, which led to him being left out of the squad for the final two matches against India.
McSweeney expressed his delight at being welcomed back into the squad and acknowledged the difficult period he has been through recently.
“Of course it was nice after a few chaotic months. It was a slightly nicer call than the last one. I will learn a lot from my experience in my first three Tests and hopefully learn from it when I get the opportunity. “I'm playing over there, I'm playing really well,” McSweeney was quoted as saying by ICC.
McSweeney is aware that playing in Sri Lanka presents a significant challenge, particularly when it comes to facing spin bowling.
“It is undoubtedly a big challenge, but one that I am prepared for and will undoubtedly be prepared for. Playing spin in Australia must be very different to playing spin over in Sri Lanka. I've worked out a way to make it work in Australia.” “I've worked for myself in my Shield career but definitely need to find a new player to be a good player there,” he added.
The two Tests against Sri Lanka will take place in Galle from January 29.
