Quentin Johnston hauls in touchdown vs Titans

Kenneth Murray's return to SoFi Stadium didn't turn out the way he hoped.

After signing with the Titans this offseason, Murray was pushed to center by Justin Herbert in the first half and struggled to keep up with tight end Will Dissly in coverage. With the Chargers leading 13-10 in the third quarter, Los Angeles lined up on third-and-8 from the Titans' 16-yard line.

Herbert dropped back to pass with a solid pocket and waited for a receiver to get open. Quentin Johnston ran a crossing route that was only picked up when Murray drifted outside the right hash again and chased after Johnston as they entered the end zone.

However, Murray was a few steps too slow and Herbert hit Johnston for a 16-yard touchdown, extending the lead to 20-10.

The drive was initiated by a 56-yard kickoff return by Derius Davis, which brought the Chargers to the Titans' 43-yards. A 15-yard pass to Ladd McConkey and a 9-yard run by Gus Edwards to open the drive put the Chargers within striking distance of the end zone.
