He obviously wants his fists to do the talking.
The former heavyweight champion faced him during their first fight week clash on Wednesday, but Tyson was a man of few words during the question-and-answer session. The 58-year-old fighter had no interest in getting into a war of words with Paul, who was sitting just a few feet away from him on the stage.
“I’m just ready to fight,” Tyson said. “I said everything I had to say. There's nothing else to say. I’m just looking forward to the fight.”
The stoic Tyson remained stone-faced as he stared at Paul, who returned the favor after predicting the fight would not make it to the final bell.
“Someone’s going to be put down,” Paul said. “It will be a war. We are both heavyweights. It doesn’t last the full 16 minutes.”
Although he didn't get into a heated fight with Paul during the press conference, Tyson gave a rebuke to a reporter who asked him what he would lose if he lost that fight on Friday.
In response, Tyson became a little more animated and promised that there was no way he would fall victim to Paul.
“I’m not going to lose,” Tyson said. “I won't lose. Did you hear what I said?”
Paul and Tyson will face off again on Thursday following weigh-ins. The fight is just 48 hours away and the event will be broadcast live on Netflix from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
