After winning the title of With a breathtaking arrival at Monza in early September, a new adventure is about to begin for Leonardo Fornaroli. The Italian driver will take the next step by switching to but a few months earlier than initially planned.

After the shutdown of Formula 3, which ended the championship a few months ago in Monza, the Italian was already working on physical preparation for next year and the change of category.
However, after signing Zane Maloney by the ABT Lola-Yamaha team in the it is obvious that the Barbadian driver will not be able to be present at the Yas Marina circuit to compete in the last race of the 2024 Formula 2 season, thus leaving a vacant seat.
To replace Maloney, Rodin decided to bet on Fornaroli, he will therefore make his debut in F2 a few months before the scheduled date. For the young Italian driver it will be a great opportunity to get in touch with a Formula 2 car, because with so few tests available, every kilometer can be very important to understand the car, especially for those who come from F3 and who must face the change of category.
Fornaroli made history by winning the championship without having won a race thanks to the consistency of his results. In fact, the Italian driver only managed to score points in two races, those contested in the sprint at Imola and at the Red Bull Ring. His consistency and mental strength, as well as the step forward he clearly took in race management, allowed him to fight for and win the title in a season finale that was decided in the last turn.
