The 2023 European rally vice-champion underlined his status as a rising star during his appearances in the premier rally category thanks to a program from the structure which was partially financed by the promoter of the WRC.

“If you had told me I was going to drive a Rally1 car three times this year, I wouldn’t have believed it,” Sesks said. “Coming to South America for the first time and driving this car was incredible.”

“It’s been quite a challenge; the first two outings went pretty well, I would say from a riding point of view, but this one was a big challenge and there was a lot to learn. We learned a lot for the future and now we know how to manage WRC rallies that we don’t know.

Sesks’ three appearances impressed the management of M-Sport at a time when they have yet to confirm their crew for next year.

Asked about his WRC future, Sesks said: “I really have no idea. We did this rally and I don’t know what will happen next. We are ready to take advantage of any opportunity. It depends on how, when and what we can do in the future.

The director of the M-Sport team, Richard Millerwas eager to see how Sesks performed on unfamiliar roads and said the rookie did a “great job” given the circumstances.

“For Martins and Renars, I guess it wasn’t what they expected,” Millener said.

“A small mistake with big consequences on Friday and a difficult final stage without a rear wing, but they did a great job and had a feel for the experience they need to reach the top of the WRC – one of the main reasons why we brought them here,” he concluded.
