After the serious accident suffered last June during the first round of the Women's Motorcycling World Championship (WorldWCR), in Misano, Mia Rusthen's recovery is progressing little by little, but with positive news. The pilot suffered multiple head injuries and found herself in an induced coma, then returned to a specialized center in her country, Norway, after spending a week in a hospital in Cesena.
Week after week, Mia continued to take small steps, until the good news in mid-September, when confirmed that she was released from the hospital, where her rehabilitation began, and was walking again.
Today, the young pilot took stock of her condition, and His recovery is moving in the right direction from a physical standpoint, although it still takes time. and continue to improve to fully recover.
In fact, Mia confirmed that,Although the right side of his brain is still affected after the accident, his intention is to continue training and working to get back to full fitness.. On the other hand, he also confirmed that he still struggles to remember his World Championship motorcycle career, only having flashes of it.

“I walk alone, I think, I remember more and more, I talk, I laugh, I cry, I eat, I play, I fight… I am alive! It is the right side of the brain that is affected by the injury, but it is recovering little by little and I intend to continue training and working until I return to full performance.” Rusthen explained in a post on Instagram, where he explains his path to recovery.
“I still don't realize that I participated in the world championships and I remember very little of this adventure. But my heart and my body remember the happy encounters with people, especially with the girls I competed with.“.
The good news is that Mia will be able to find the tracks again.
