The Cincinnati Bengals surprised on Wednesday before Week 14 when he announced that kicker Evan McPherson could be out for a few weeks with a groin injury.
According to NFL Network The Bengals have signed kicker Cade York to the practice squad, and he will be the starting kicker for the team while McPherson is sidelined.
The groin injury for McPherson apparently won't end his season, but it is serious enough that the team felt it necessary to provide outside help in the meantime.
York has previously spent time with the Commanders and Browns. As for McPherson, there is no word at this point on whether this injury played a role in his poor season so far.
