First quarter report
Only three quarters remain between the Cavaliers and the victory they should achieve tonight. They have some cushion as they currently lead the Raptors 38-22.
If the Cavaliers keep this up, they will increase their record to 17-1 in no time. On the other hand, the Raptors will have to settle for a 4-13 record unless they turn things around.

What you should know
The Cavaliers will play the entire four quarters on Sunday, but are expected to have things taken care of long before then. With a few days off, they will face the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 p.m. ET at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The timing is certainly in the Cavaliers' favor as the team has nine straight wins at home while the Raptors have suffered 11 straight road losses since last season.
The Cavaliers will go into Wednesday's game with the come-up: They suffered a three-point loss in their last game, but they certainly didn't let that happen against the Pelicans on Wednesday. The Cavaliers outrebounded the Pelicans 128-100. Cleveland pushed the score to 105-73 by the end of the third period, a deficit that New Orleans erased but never fully recovered from.
Several players had solid performances to lead the Cavaliers to victory, but perhaps none was better than Jarrett Allen, who posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Additionally, Allen also collected six offensive rebounds, the most he has had since April. Jaylon Tyson was another key player, posting a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The Cavaliers worked as a unit and finished the game with 29 assists. This strong performance was nothing new for the team: there have now been at least 25 assists in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, the Raptors didn't have much breathing room in their match against the Timberwolves on Thursday, but still won 110-105.
RJ Barrett was the standout offensive player of the contest as he was 10 for 14 en route to 31 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The game was his third straight with at least 30 points.
Cleveland's win increased their record to 16-1. As for Toronto, the win increased the record to 4-12.
Sunday's game is expected to be a heated matchup: The Cavaliers haven't given up the ball easily this season, averaging just 12.2 turnovers per game (they rank fifth overall in turnovers per game). However, things are different for the Raptors as they have an average of 16.1. Given the Cavaliers' significant advantage in this area, the Raptors must find a way to close this gap.
The Cavaliers picked up their victory against the Raptors by a convincing score of 136-106 in the last time the two teams met in October. In that contest, the Cavaliers built a 69-49 halftime lead, an impressive performance they will look to repeat on Sunday.
