Joe Burrow saluted as MVP caliber by Steelers Mike Tomlin

Cincinnati Bengals That quarterback Joe Burrow is enjoying an MVP-like season isn't just an opinion from fans of the team itself.

Take Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, for example,

Speaking to reporters before the Bengals and Steelers' first meeting of the season, Tomlin described Burrow's season as “MVP-caliber,” according to ESPN. Brooke Pryor.

It's not just a coach's speech before a game either. Burrow has completed 67.2 percent of his passes for 3,028 yards and 27 touchdowns against four interceptions. This was despite a shaky offensive line and Tee Higgins only being able to play six games.

Of course, Burrow himself would likely reject such praise given his team's 4-7 record — and that's what likely keeps him out of the MVP conversation entirely.

Still, what Burrow does doesn't go unnoticed. And if he can beat Tomlin's Steelers in the two meetings between now and the end of the season and his Bengals can pick up wins in the other four remaining games, he would certainly be a big part of the MVP conversation.
