Suns owner Mat Ishbia said ESPN's Shams Charania (Video link) that he expects to sign again Kevin Durant.
“We expect Kevin (Durant) to sign a contract extension and stay with us long-term.” Ishbia said. “We hope he finishes his career here in Phoenix. That’s what we expect.”
The 36-year-old Durant is currently out with a left calf strain. He is averaging 27.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists this season. Durant will receive a salary of $57.4 million next season, the final year of his current contract. He rejected to sign a one-year extension before the regular season, but can sign a two-year contract next offseason.
