It's been hard to see how these Cowboys have struggled over the past five weeks, but that wasn't the case in their Week 12 win. by taking the negative plays and prevailing against a good Commanders team.

Bad teams typically don't fight, forcing three turnovers and sacking the QB four times. Or hold one of the better offenses to just nine points through three quarters.

Teams that have forfeited do not allow an opponent to cut the deficit to a double-digit lead late in the game with a score and then return a kickoff for a touchdown. What good teams do is respond to points with points.

Bad teams may have little performance on 86-yard touchdown plays when they only need to make one or two tackles to win the game, but that didn't stop the Cowboys from tying the game for one with a second kickoff return Score to end in the fourth quarter.

The Cowboys had plenty of opportunity to advance the game and the season in Week 12, but they didn't. McCarthy's team fought for him and the win, showing they haven't given up on their lame coach.
