1.18: WR Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State
With Cooks' departure, the replacement will come through the draft. At 1.95 meters tall and weighing 100 kilograms, Egbuka has to do similar things to CeeDee Lamb in Dallas' offense. But it's good to move things along because they've invested in Johnathan Mingo to be the big man on offense. Adding Egbuka to Lamb will confuse defensive coordinators over the next two years as both can be used as a Z or slot receiver on any play. Mix in Kavontae Turpin and that's an interesting receiver mix out of the gate for the next head coach and offensive coordinator.
2:46: Safety Kamari Ramsey, USC
Safety doesn't appear to be a major need, as Donovan Wison only has one year left on his contract and both primary junior players (Juanyeh Thomas, Markquese Bell) have recently suffered serious injuries, although Thomas could return from his torn meniscus this season. Ramsey is reported to have great potential as an all-rounder.
3.78: OG Tyler Booker, Alabama
The Cowboys could be willing to give Brock Hoffman the opportunity to replace Zack Martin next season. However, they have other problems. Our preferred solution (currently) is to move Tyler Smith outside to left tackle, let go of Terence Steele and slot Tyler Guyton in at right tackle, and recruit a left guard to step in behind Smith when he switches. Booker is a hulking 6-foot-3, 300-pound left defenseman who plays big, strong and has a nasty attitude.
3.82: DI Darrell Jackson, Jr., Florida State
More beef for the trenches as the Seminole stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 330 pounds. Good first-step quickness would be helpful as a replacement for Osa Odighizuwa, but more in a double tackle role. Jackson is reminiscent of Jordan Phillips, but not the version Dallas saw this season. The earlier model.
