New England Patriots defensive tackle Davon Godchaux was disappointed after the Patriots' 34-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Godchaux had two tackles in a game where the Patriots struggled on both sides of the ball. The offense struggled with penalties and poor pass protection, while the defense took a hit from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' passing attack.
Godchaux wasn't shy about giving his overall opinion on the game, as the Patriots fell to 3-9 on the season while the Dolphins extended their winning streak to three games.
“It’s embarrassing,” Godchaux said, via Mike Reiss of ESPN. “A hard pill to swallow, but you have to swallow it… 24-0 at halftime, we all had a hand in it – coaches, players, everyone.”
DT Davon Godchaux on the regression after 4 competitive games: “It’s embarrassing. A hard pill to swallow, but you have to swallow it… 24-0 at halftime, we all had a hand in it – coaches, players, everyone.”
Adapting to a larger defensive front helped in the second half.

The Patriots will look to start the month of December on a better note when they take on another struggling team, the Indianapolis Colts.
There are five games remaining on New England's 2024 regular season schedule. That's enough time to end things on a positive note.
