Video catches fired up Patriots CB Jonathan Jones after win over Bears

New England Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones was thrilled after the team's 19-3 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Jones contributed significantly to the win by recording five tackles on the day, bringing his total to 36 tackles this season.

The defensive unity was an essential key to the victory. They recorded nine sacks and 13 hits against the Bears' rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. They overwhelmed Williams from start to finish and secured their third win of the season.

In a video posted to the team's social media page, Jones was seen addressing the team after Patriots coach Jerod Mayo handed out a few game balls.

“The coach said it – it’s about playing complementary football,” Jones said. “All three phases: offense, defense, special teams. It's not a special victory like you win in this league. It's simple.

“It’s about sticking together and playing complementary football. We carry on like this, put our heads down and will reach some places. Hey, get some wins. Stack up some wins.”

Veterans like Jones are important on the defensive side of the ball as the team undergoes a rebuild.

Jones has been a constant in the Patriots organization since his arrival in 2016. He has experienced the ups and downs of several attempts at reconstruction. He knows what it takes to win, and the Patriots certainly did that on Sunday.
