Potential must plays from Giants Cowboys game

The New York Giants (2-9) will face the Dallas Cowboys (4-7) on Thanksgiving Day at AT&T Stadium, battling for the final spot in the NFC East.

Fantasy enthusiasts will be in search of dumpsters in this game. DraftKings is including it in their three-game Thanksgiving “Milly Maker” tournament, so they will generate some interest.

Most DK players will likely pick from the other two games – Chicago vs. Detroit and Miami vs. Green Bay – so whichever newly minted millionaire wins this week will likely win with a pick (or picks) from that game.

There are three options to consider here:

Dallas Defense/Special Teams

The Cowboys ran back two kickoffs for touchdowns against Washington last week and the Giants were average in kickoff coverage (15th). So there is that. The Giants offense is pathetic, scoring in the single digits again last week, and quarterback Tommy DeVito is still holding the ball too long. That will lead to sackings and rushing. The Cowboys defense is finally coming together, sacking Jayden Daniels four times last week.

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. has fumbled three times in the last two games (losing two), but when he did manage to keep the ball, he was extremely productive. Dallas ranks 31st against the run this season, allowing over 150 yards on the ground per game. The Giants need to get Tracy right. This game means absolutely nothing. Why not take advantage of this plus matchup?

Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle

The Giants haven't been able to stop the run in the last month or so. They are allowing 24.5 FPS on DK this year (the same as Dallas) and 185.5 yards per game over the last five games. With quarterback Cooper Rush (knee) questionable, the Cowboys might just try to pound the football into that Giants defense screen on Thursday.
