Ravens Vikings among teams vying to sign ex Giants QB Daniel Jones

Former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will clear waivers on Monday at 4 p.m. ET and immediately become one of the hottest free agents in football.

Multiple teams are expected to compete for his services, with the Baltimore Ravens or Minnesota Vikings most likely to sign him, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Jones is also expected to draw strong interest from the Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco 49ers. reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Raiders are told they like Jones as an organization, and if he is a free agent they could emerge as an option. Why? Because Las Vegas expects to be a team in the market for a bridge starter in the 2025 offseason while also looking for its QB of the future. Jones could compete for his future role and perhaps earn an even bigger role as the Raiders take a look at a future free agent. Las Vegas probably won't make the playoffs, but this could be Jones' best bet for his future.

The bottom line is that Jones won't have to wait long to find his next job and will likely even have the opportunity to choose his opportunity. That's pretty impressive considering the overwhelming amount of criticism he's faced in recent years.

It will be interesting to see where Jones ends up. He could pursue a title as a backup, compete for a starting position on a fringe team, or bet on someone like the Raiders and eye a starting job in 2025.

No matter what Jones decides, it looks like he'll bounce back quickly.
