There's some optimistic news about New York Jets linebacker CJ Mosley's health… but it's still not a clear picture.
Mosley, 32, has missed the last month due to a neck injury. After some time, confidence was restored that he can return to the field at some point in 2024… but will he make it in Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks (6-5)?
The Jets (3-8) and the player himself have slowed this down a bit, but can't rule it out yet.
“I don’t want to drive too fast. I just take it one day at a time. It makes progress every day and every week. I just try to stay positive about it. Today I made even more attacks and easy tackles. That’s really where we’re at right now,” Mosley said.
The linebacker added that he put a helmet on his head for the first time since his injury on Monday.
Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich was not discussed in more detail on Mosley's health, but he said the linebacker is a player who will be “hard to replace.”
Mosley has played in four games so far this season (three starts). He recorded 17 tackles.
