The New York Jets could soon have reinforcements on offense.
The team announced this week that the 21-day practice windows have opened for wide receiver Allen Lazard (chest) and offensive lineman Wes Schweizer (finger).
The Jets (3-9) face the Miami Dolphins (5-7) in Week 14 on Sunday. It remains to be seen whether either player can get fit, but in most cases that doesn't happen straight away.
New York has this time frame to activate both players from injured reserve. If this does not happen, both will return to IR and remain there until the end of the season.
If Lazard is brought back, he could be a difference-maker in the coming weeks along with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Schweizer would return as a depth player on the O-line.
When the duo returned to training, both were listed as in training on Wednesday.
will provide updates as information becomes available.
We signed OL Zack Bailey to the practice squad.
Additionally, OL Wes Schweitzer and WR Allen Lazard have returned to practice.
